About the Artist:

LYNDI ANGERMEIER lived with her family in Heidelberg, Germany during her teens. Frequent trips to museums and churches throughout Europe, as well as her mother’s artistic sensibilities, nurtured her appreciation of the arts. She returned to the United States for college and completed a master’s degree in psychology, yet the pull toward the arts was stronger. After completing her studies at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts, the Carol Robinson Gallery held her first solo exhibition and offered to represent her. The city provided her with an array of architecture and gardens, and her oils with dappled light quickly gained appeal with Garden District residents. Angermeier went on to have exhibitions there for twenty years, becoming one of the most popular artists in the gallery.

She moved to northern California in her mid-thirties, where she painted on the Monterey Peninsula and along the Big Sur coast. During that time, she taught workshops and exhibited at the Carmel Art Association, the Pacific Grove Art Center, as well as in several other local galleries. As a docent for the Monterey Museum of Art, she gave tours to visitors, was exposed to art history, and was heavily immersed in the work of the California Impressionist painters. She has participated in numerous solo, group, and juried exhibitions over the course of her thirty-four year career. Angermeier’s work is included in private, medical and corporate collections throughout the United States: to include Oregon, California, Nevada, Texas, Louisiana, Minnesota, New York, Maine, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Florida, North Carolina and Virginia. You can also find her work in private collections in Germany, Ireland and England. She resides with her husband in Staunton, Virginia, where she paints full time in her home studio. She is a prolific artist who maintains an active solo and juried exhibit schedule, as well as providing interior designers with work for their clients.
