About the Artist:
David Bryant is a multi-disciplinary artist currently focusing on the relationships between painting, illustration, photography and film, representing the role landscapes play as the impartial origin of thought and future ideas. Bryant can often be found roaming around Virginia’s National Forests, crushing rocks, and sourcing plants to use as pigment. “Nature provides every necessary tool for art, and how fortunate they’re right in my backyard.”
Bryant received his MFA in Studio Art from Radford University and earned a BFA in Photography and Film from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has been in multiple publications such as the Virginia Literary Review, Alleghany CFA Arts Review, and The Roanoker Magazine. David has exhibited at the Bower Center for the Arts (Bedford, VA), Smith Mountain Arts Council (Moneta, VA), Art on 1st (Roanoke VA), Radford College of Visual and Performing Arts (Radford, VA), Fine Art Center of the New River Valley (Blacksburg), The Moss Center (Blacksburg), and the Southeastern Conference of Creative Arts (Winston-Salem).
Bryant resides in Blue Ridge, Virginia and is an Adjunct Professor at Radford University.
