Shinrin-yoku (Forest bathing) was developed in Japan in the 1980s as a form of preventative medicine with many scientific studies confirming its beneficial impacts on our sense of well-being and physical health. Annette Naber will be your forest bathing guide on her property in Highland County, VA. An entire chapter of Georgann Eubanks’ book, The Fabulous Ordinary, recounts the author’s forest bathing experience with Annette. The Washington Post recently dedicated an article to forest bathing now being taught at Harvard Medical School.
