About The Weaver: Meridith Brehmer Entingh has a lifelong passion for working with the color and texture of fiber. The wide variety in the color, size and texture of yarn provide wonderful opportunities to create beautiful and surprising effects. She creates one-of-a-kind pieces and hopes you notice the use of color and texture throughout the work.
Meridith started her study of textiles at Iowa State University and, what seemed like a lifetime later, apprenticed at Springwater Fiber Arts School in Old Town Alexandria, VA. It was love at the first throw of the shuttle! She continues her studies through workshops and participation in the Handweavers Guild of America, the Mid-Atlantic Fiber Association, the Handweavers Guild of the New River Valley and the Roanoke Weaving Study Group.
Meridith is published in Handwoven Magazine, the international periodical for handweavers, and her work is sold locally at Left of Center Art Space in downtown Roanoke. Meridith also sells her work on Etsy and can be found on Facebook, Instagram and at http://www.meridithweaves.com
