VA Stream Cleanups

Upcoming Stream Cleanups in Bath and Millboro

Celebrate National Public Lands Day and help keep Virginia’s waterways cleaner. Collect trash and report data for the Virginia part of the annual International Coastal Cleanup (ICC).

First Event: Sept. 26, 2015 10:00AM
The day will begin with a clean-up of the Kids Fishing Hole near the historic Douthat Dam. Meet the ranger at the Discovery Center Parking Area for the short walk to the creek. Wear close toed shoes and bring water. We will provide bags and other necessary tools. This project is also part of the Stewardship Virginia Campaign and participants will receive a certificate signed by the Governor.

Second Event: Oct. 24, 2015 Noon
